Then I thought, gah, that ruins the season 2 finale and any weight it ever carried in emotional terms. And that it sets a bad precedent for the show in that nothing is permanent and anything can be fixed, and that it's horribly cynical.
Then I thought about exactly how we 'lost' Rose to start with, and thought of an extremely cool way to bring her back that wouldn't ruin so much and would actually be interesting for the show as a whole. So now I really hope they go with something alongs the lines of what I'm thinking about.
