Russell Brand edgy enough for Radio 2

So Brand was 'fired' from 6Music for being 'too edgy', and has now been hired by Radio 2. There's something wrong there. I think people were confusing 'edgy' and 'big'.

Or "not funny."

Haha. The jury's still out with me on that one, Emma. Yet to be convinced...

Not funny? Are you kidding? (If you were it wouldn't be funny). He was by far the funniest on that Secrets Policeman's Ball program (except for the Boosh obviously).

I challenge you, Emma, to contextualise your comment by telling me what IS funny.

And Anna, I love your blog more and more. It makes me want to watch more and more TV just so I get a handle on what you are saying.

Thanks! Yes, I'm aiming to get everyone sat round the tv, just like the good old days... :) Haha.

I think I could handle him on the radio. He wouldn't be doing the gangly limbs, scary hair, gurning thing...
And his verbal performance is always better than his physical; it just looks like he's trying too hard to be inverted commas different.

What must Wogan think though, eh?

I believe Russel Howard is taking over, continuing the tradition of having a comic called Russel presenting the show.

I heard an interesting story about Russel Brand the other day but won't repeat it hear incase I get sued for libel :D but regulars here that have my e-mail/MSN can always pester me about it if they're particulary intrigued.

I sent you an email via your blog :)

I suppose both Terry Wogan and Russell Brand use arcane words in their normal discourse, but probably Russell has more swash.

I caught RB when he first started on 6Music. I really, REALLY disliked him.

Then he got everywhere in the media and I had to start seeing him as well. Really not making me like him more. Mucho posturing. Blurgh.

Sorry. Glad to see Emma in agreement with me!
