Been away...

... back now though. Clearly. :)

Just in time to bring you news 0f some very exciting casting (Mrs. Coulter and Lord Asriel especially) for the first His Dark Materials film - probably to be called the American book title 'The Golden Compass', as opposed to Northern Lights - (via), and to say to Q - it's only a guilty pleasure if you're pretentious enough to hide what you like. Tut tut, I say, tut tut.

Good to be back, kids.

Interesting. Odd, but interesting...

Welcome back. Typically, just as I have a ton of stuff to write about, my blog breaks (well, it's actually the entire Warwick domain and everything attached to it....)

Not in the LEAST bit fair that a perfectly good British novel should have to change just for the Yanks. I mean, what about us? It comes from *our* country, after all, WE were the inventors. Why isn't it being called "Northern Lights" anyway? Do Americans not know what they are?

Sorry for the ranting, but this is a topic I feel strongly about. I mean, do Americans ever change films for our benefit? No, despite the fact that WE are a much bigger audience than they think!

Hmph.

Rant away! :)

And Dean - if you're talking Edinburgh, mail me, and perhaps I can 'host' your blog for the month!
