Steve Coogan Chases The Yankee Dollar

Yup, Coogan and his Baby Cow production company have signed a two year deal with NBC which means the development of new shows, but it also seems that many will be re-made. An American Nighty Night? Yankee Boosh? Apparently they're both on the cards. Hmmm. It'll be fun to see 'em try, at any rate.

I don't know about Nighty Night, but I can imagine an American Boosh working very well. :)

I remember reading a story once about the US adaption of Fawlty Towers - they called up John Cleese and told him they loved the show and were going to adapt it but they were making one small change. They felt the character of Basil Fawlty was a little too mean-spirited and so wrote him out.

I'll be interested to see how the US Boosh comes out but frankly I don't think it'll work.

No... interesting as you say. A British Bob Fossil?!

A girl made a good point on the Boosh forum - the Mighty Boosh could be especially hard to recreate simple because the show comes directly from the writers' own stand-up, live shows and personalities. Julian Barratt and Noel Fielding are, literally, the Boosh.
