One of the exemptions to the smoking ban:

Hospitals.
Isn't that just the best thing you've heard since... well, Cheney shot a guy?

(I know it's terrible for him and his family, especially now there's been complications, but I'm willing to admit I *did* find it funny when the news first broke...!)

Oh yeah, and the Cheney story: terrible but hilarious as well.

Gotta say 'War-mongering Penguin-From-Batman style American Vice President shoots old man' tickled my funny bone. Maybe The IT Crowd production team need to talk to whoever writes the Bush Administration's scripts for some pointers.

The UK tobacco industry is wholey dependant on doctors for its survival.

Likewise, doctors are dependant on tobacco for their survival.

It's an interesting symbiotic relationship in action.
